Host an Intro to Coding workshop

 
Share the wonder of writing your first line of code by hosting a 3 hour introductory coding workshop for first time coders. This is an ideal activity for events such as Youth Month, Mandela Day, Girls in ICT Day etc.
 

How it works:

 
You complete the form below, finalise a date, confirm logistics and make the payment.
We provide a 3 hour lesson plan and our teaching team trains your staff in how to run the 3 hour workshop.
We invite a group of first time coders to the workshop.
You set up the workshop and get ready to welcome a group of girls to the exciting world of coding
Your team, supported by ours, delivers a super fun coding workshop according to the lesson plan and tells the group all about your company. Don’t forget to share the fun on social media and tag us!
 

Cost and requirements:

 
R9000 donation to Code for Cape Town
A venue
A device for each learner (alternatively you can enquire about renting these from us, according to availability).
Optionally you can provide catering on the day and/or branded gift bags for participants.
Optionally you can choose to cover the cost of transport for the group.

B-BBEE: Time donated is weighted at 80% of the value of the time (as verified according to their salaries).

Section 18A: Time contributions can receive a Section 18A certificate to the full value of their proven value (as verified according to salaries).

Every contribution needs a verification such as an invoice, time log or attendance register that directly ties your contribution to an event that benefits the girls.
