Talent Search

Top performers in the Talent Search competition are eligible to receive a scholarship to attend Create with Code.

To be eligible to receive a scholarship to attend Create with Code from 3-6 April, learners should participate in Talent Search at their school. Successful candidates will be contacted directly.

Talent Search is not run by Code for Cape Town, but is a strategic partner through which we recruit.

The Talent Search is an annual competition run at schools across South Africa. The contest requires the use of Computational Thinking – those skills that are also required for Mathematics, Science, IT and Computer Applications. The Talent Search identifies learners with the skills, but at the same time gives all an opportunity to develop these skills. The Talent Search is an online test, but for those schools with inadequate connectivity a pen-and-paper version is available which does not require computers.
