Code4CT camp has begun

Imagine the energy and excitement as 65 Grade 10 and 11 girls gather to learn about the possibilities of technology to create solutions to important challenges, hear about different tech companies from local professionals and learn to code (most for the first time).

From 4-18 July 73 girls will be staying in the school hostel of Cape Academy for Maths, Science and Tech in Constantia, learning to code and use design thinking to leverage tech for good.  The girls will work in groups to build projects that address issues in education, health and small business development. The course curriculum covers HTML, CSS and JavaScript, WordPress and professional communication skills.

I can’t wait to get to know these young ladies over the next two weeks and hear their ideas and dreams that I trust will go on to shape our country.

You can be involved

Attend the final event: Join us on 18 July at the Final Pitching Event to celebrate the work of the teams who will pitch their projects. Inspiration guaranteed.
