CodeX is a Cape Town-based apprenticeship program that is focused on breeding highly skilled software developers to fuel Africa’s growing digital economy.
In CodeX’s first semester, only one female was part of the program. To make sure that top females enter the CodeX program, Code4CT is running program for recent school leavers. The program aims to give young women a taste of what the tech industry is about and give them a solid foundation in coding. The best candidates will be eligible to enter the CodeX program.
Code4CT and CodeX ran a crowdfunding campaign to fund this initiative.
The program will run from 26 January to 7 February at the Barn in the Woodstock Exchange.
